Chicken Tikka Masala
Rice
- 2 C Basmati rice
- 4 Tbl Butter
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 Tbl Turmeric
- Optional - frozen peas
Chicken Tikka Masala
- 2 Chicken breasts, cut up
- or 1 chicken breast and 1 can (1 C dry) chickpeas, cooked and drained
- 4 Tbl Butter
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 4 Cloves Garlic or 1 Tbl minced garlic
- 2 inches fresh ginger piece, grated, or 1 Tbl ground ginger
- 3 Tbl Garam Masala
- 1 Tbl Salt
- 1 Tbl Sugar
- Optional - 1 Tbl dried cilantro
- Optional - jalapeno pepper (chopped) or cayenne to taste (1/8 tsp)
- 1 large can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 C Heavy cream or 1 can coconut milk
