1 lb ground beef or pork or sausage
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1-7.5 oz can tomatoes cut up (*I used 3/4 cup salsa and omitted the chili powder and hot sauce)
1/4 water
2 tbsp. oats
1 tsp chili powder
2 tsp worchestershire sauce
1/2 tsp garlic salt
dash hot sauce
buns for serving
Brown meat, onion and pepper. Drain fat. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 5-10 min or until desired consistency is reached. Serve in buns.
